Selecting a Wedding Photographer

Experience -- Make sure the Utah photographer has ample experience photographing weddings to ensure the ability to deliver beautiful pictures for your big day.

Style -- Look over the photographer's portfolio or sample work. Do you like what you see? Look for photojournalism, formal, candid, and other styles of photography and find a photographer that has a good mix such different styles.

The Photographer -- If you are working with a photography studio and request a certain photographer, make sure they are the one that will be shooting your wedding! Often, studios will send the photographer that is available, so be sure that you know exactly which one will be at your wedding.

Personality -- Since this individual will be photographing some of the most intimate, emotional, and important moments of your wedding day, you want to make sure they are someone that you can be yourself around. Make sure there is "chemistry" there!

Price -- Shopping by price can be a tricky thing when it comes to wedding photography, because you will certainly get what you pay for. Make sure it is within your budget, but remember that better and more experienced photographers tend to be more expensive.
